ED ring size chart: will a FirmTech ring fit you?
Every FirmTech ring comes in one size that fits up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) of erect girth, which FirmTech says covers about 95% of men.
Instead of a multi-size chart, the FirmTech TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR use an adjustable hook-and-loop strap that sets to your exact size. That means the only number you need is your erect girth at the base. Measure once, check it below, and you know whether a FirmTech ring will fit.

What size ED ring do I need?
With FirmTech, you do not pick a size. If your erect girth at the base is 5.5 inches (14 cm) or less, all three rings fit, and the strap adjusts the tension to you. Above that, you are outside FirmTech's stated range, so ask FirmTech before ordering.
Check your fit
Enter your erect girth measured at the base. The tool compares it with FirmTech's published limit and nothing else.
The FirmTech ED ring size chart
| Erect girth at base | FirmTech fit |
|---|---|
| Up to 5.5 in (14 cm) | All three rings fit. Adjust the strap for comfort. |
| Over 5.5 in (14 cm) | Outside the stated range. Contact FirmTech first. |
How to measure erect girth
- Get fully erect.
- Wrap a soft tape measure, or a piece of string, around the base of the penis.
- If you used string, mark where it meets and lay it flat against a ruler.
- Compare with 5.5 inches (14 cm). At or below it, FirmTech rings fit.
Measure at the base, where the ring actually sits, not mid-shaft. This is the same method FirmTech describes on its how it works page.
Same size, different feel
All three rings share the 5.5 inch range, but the tightness differs, and that changes how each one feels.
- TechRing: tightness 3 of 5, secure, worn up to 12 hours, including overnight.
- Performance Ring: tightness 3 of 5, comfort, worn up to 12 hours.
- MaxPR: tightness 5 of 5, tightest, worn up to 90 minutes.
If comfort is your priority, the Performance Ring is FirmTech's comfort pick. If you want the snuggest hold, the MaxPR is slimmer and tighter.
Getting the tension right
Fasten the strap snug, not tight. You want firm, even pressure at the base without pain. If you feel pain, numbness or coldness, loosen or remove the ring. Read erection ring side effects for the warning signs.

ED ring sizing questions
All 40+ questions in the FAQ- Is there an ED ring size chart for FirmTech rings?
- FirmTech rings come in one size that fits up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) of erect girth, which FirmTech says covers about 95% of men. The hook-and-loop strap adjusts to your exact size, so there is no size chart to pick from. Our size chart page explains how to check your own measurement.
- How do I measure for an erection ring?
- When erect, wrap a soft tape measure or a piece of string around the base of the penis, then measure the string against a ruler. If the result is 5.5 inches (14 cm) or less, FirmTech rings fit. Measure at the base, where the ring actually sits, rather than mid-shaft.
- What if my girth is more than 5.5 inches?
- FirmTech states its rings fit up to 5.5 inches of erect girth, so a larger measurement is outside the stated range. If you are close to the limit or unsure, FirmTech offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, and its support team answers fit questions through the contact page at getfirmtech.com/contact.
- Do all three FirmTech rings fit the same?
- All three fit up to 5.5 inches of erect girth and adjust with the same hook-and-loop design, but they feel different. The TechRing is rated 3 of 5 for tightness (secure), the Performance Ring 3 of 5 (comfort), and the MaxPR 5 of 5, FirmTech’s tightest, because it is slimmer and snugger.
- How tight should an ED ring be?
- Snug but not tight. FirmTech’s instructions say to fasten the ring snug and then adjust for comfort. It should hold firm, even pressure at the base without pain. If you feel pain, numbness or coldness, loosen or remove it. The adjustable strap lets you set the tension yourself each time.
- Can I put it on before I have an erection?
- Yes. FirmTech rings are designed to go on when you are soft, so you can put one on discreetly ahead of time instead of stopping mid-moment. It takes a few seconds: open the loop, place it behind the testicles and around the base, then adjust the strap until it feels snug.
