What reviewers bring up

  • Overnight tracking. One verified buyer bought it mainly to monitor nocturnal erections and said it does that quite reliably. Another had recorded nocturnal erections for 7 months.
  • Detail of the data. A verified buyer said the level of detail surprised his doctor when he shared it. Another valued seeing trends and how drinks and medication changed his results.
  • Getting used to it. One reviewer said wearing it overnight takes some getting used to and found it best to build up over time.
  • The $60 rings. On product pages, verified buyers called the Performance Ring simple and comfortable, and the MaxPR tighter than the original in a good way.

FirmTech's press page links to coverage including The Guardian, VICE and Mashable, which described the TechRing as a smart erection ring worn during sex to track duration and firmness.

Reading reviews well

Check which ring a review is about, since the TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR differ in tightness and wear time. Then check fit: all three fit up to 5.5 inches erect girth. See the ED ring size chart and best tension rings for ED.

Are FirmTech rings comfortable?
They are made from soft, medical-grade, latex-free elastomer with a patented hook-and-loop fit and nothing hard or rigid. The TechRing and Performance Ring are rated for up to 12 hours of wear. The MaxPR is intentionally tighter, which is why its wear time is shorter, at up to 90 minutes.
How does the TechRing compare to a sleep lab test?
Measuring nighttime erections has traditionally meant a sleep lab. The TechRing measures them at home while you sleep. FirmTech has a clinical trial underway comparing the TechRing with RigiScan, the clinic standard, with 35 men enrolled. Those results have not been published yet.
Is my TechRing data private?
FirmTech says TechRing data is stored securely to HIPAA standards and is never sold or shared with advertisers. It is shared with your doctor only if you choose, and you can stop sharing anytime. You can also delete your data and account from inside the app.
Can I use an ED ring solo or with a partner?
Both. FirmTech rings work the same way solo or with a partner, and the TechRing tracks every session either way. Adding RingMate, a three-speed vibrator that slides onto any FirmTech ring, gives a partner vibration as well. RingMate costs $69 on its own.
What if the ring does not work for me?
FirmTech offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Returns start online through its returns portal with your order number and email. Beyond that window, the TechRing has a 1-year warranty, and the Performance Ring, MaxPR and RingMate each have a 3-month warranty.
How do I ask FirmTech a fit or product question?
Use FirmTech’s contact page at getfirmtech.com/contact. Customer service answers product, order, return and warranty questions by email, and FirmTech says order support replies within 1 to 2 business days. Include your order number if your question is about an existing order.
